The plastic waste problem has to be solved on two fronts if we truly want to eliminate it from the environment.

The first and most impactful way in the short term is to increase the type and amount of plastics available for recycling. Currently only PET (disposable water bottle type) plastic is recycled cost effectively. More expensive and durable plastics in the waste management system are too expensive to sort so CLASPP has created a plastic case return program to allow cost effective sorting and recycling management of these materials.

The second way is to reduce the amount of new plastic being used by replacing it with biodegradable plant based materials. We know that making this change requires a major shift in consumer behavior and so we are working to develop many different grades of biodegradable materials for our phone cases.
